Free events in Austin, TX

Join us for an inspiring evening of music and community. This year’s One Village Music Project (August 5th-12th) will culminate with a free show on the 12th at TOMS Austin (1401 South Congress, Austin, TX 78704), 6:30pm-8:00pm. Songs from previous albums as well as this year’s unreleased album will be performed.

What is the One Village Music Project?

The One Village Music Project is a youth-led music project that unites youth who have attended the Global Youth Peace Summit to create music inspired by the Summit experience.

The young musicians of the OVMP, including refugee, immigrant, and at-risk youth, create a unique blend of alternative, folk, hip hop, and world music.

All are welcome to join us on August 12th at TOMs Austin on South Congress. If you wish to support the One Village Music Project, please consider making a donation here: https://amalafoundation.org/donation-form/.  Approximately 90% of the participating youth are on full scholarship.
