Each participant in the One Village Walk is invited to help raise money for the Summit. Our goal is to collectively raise $16,000 for the California Global Youth Peace Summit which will provide full scholarships for 18 youth. Approximately 90% of the youth who participate in the Summit are scholarship recipients including refugee, immigrant and at-risk youth.

Our host, Kid CAT (Creating Awareness Together), is a group of inmates that were juveniles when they committed their crimes and are now serving life sentences. Working with youth both inside and outside the prison, their mission is to inspire humanity through education, mentorship & restorative practices.

The One Village Walk is an effort for the men to make a difference in the world while they are incarcerated. These men are walking to ensure youth affected by violence receive the support and the healing needed to follow a brighter life path and grow into compassionate men and women. The One Village Walk addresses the roots of violence and offers a path of healing to the men who walk as well as to the youth it ultimately serves.

We welcome you to be a part of creating this transformative event, offering a direct experience of unity and the realization that love and service can never be imprisoned.

A mandatory Orientation will take place Saturday, April 30th, from 10:00am-1:00pm at Fairfax Community Church – 2398 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Fairfax, CA 94930.

The One Village Walk will take place Sunday, May 1st, from 8am – 3pm inside San Quentin State Prison, in San Quentin, California. If you are booking a return flight home on Sunday, please MAKE SURE IT DEPARTS AFTER 7PM.

Please note: prior to the day of event, unforeseen circumstances could arise that prohibit us from entering the prison.

Please contact us with any questions. We look forward to walking with you in loving service.
